宮廷酸梅湯
Gong Ting Sun Mei Tang

Around 1735, Emperor Qianlong was fond of this traditional beverage at the Chinese court. Based on a recipe from the medical book Qixiao Liangfang (奇效良方) from around 1600, it was initially made in the imperial kitchen for the Yellow Emperor. Known for its benefits in combating summer fatigue and aiding digestion, it gradually spread to the general public and continues to be enjoyed today.
